Our take

Coconut is the note that defines Casmir before anything else gets a chance to speak, thick and a little suntan-lotion sweet, backed by peach, mango and a basket of unnamed fruits. Bergamot cuts in just enough to keep the opening bright, sharp for only a moment before the fruit takes back over.

Geranium and jasmine take the heart in a green, slightly bitter direction, with lily-of-the-valley adding a clean, dewy lift. It is a strange, likeable combination, tropical fruit crossed with an English garden, and the effect holds both halves in tension without letting either one win outright.

Vanilla, amber, sandalwood and patchouli fill the base and turn the whole composition warm and powdery, and the woodsy notes add a dry backbone underneath the sweetness. It sticks around once applied, and the sillage stays a close-range presence, felt by the wearer more than broadcast outward. It leans into cooler air, when the warm, powdery base carries more weight than the fruity opening ever did. What starts as a tropical fruit basket ends up somewhere drier, warmer, and considerably more grown-up by the finish.
