Wish opens on coconut, strawberry, and a handful of orchard fruit, a sweet rush before honey and milk move in and make the middle taste almost edible. The honey and milk combination is what makes the middle feel almost drinkable, rounder than the sharp fruit that opens the fragrance. Caramel, toffee, and vanilla carry the base toward dessert, while incense and sandalwood add a balsamic, woody weight alongside the sugar, and patchouli adds a dry, earthy note right at the end.
The fragrance keeps going long past when you'd expect it to fade, and its sillage carries just far enough for a conversation partner to catch it, warm and close rather than loud. Winter is where it earns its keep, the density and warmth working as cold-weather comfort on a grey afternoon.
Committed gourmand fans will find plenty to love, but the honey and caramel combination is a lot for someone who prefers a drier, more restrained sweetness. The milk note softens the caramel into something rounder, less sharp than straight sugar would be. The final image is caramel hardening at the edges of a pan left to cool on the stove.
