Bois de Cedre Cédrat
Fragrance notes
Character
The first spray smells like a lemon grove that has been soaked in dark rum. It is a sharp, bright citrus that quickly turns warm and slightly boasting. The opening feels alive and energetic, moving fast from a simple fruit scent into something with more body and a gentle bite.
Clove and rose soon step forward to shape the heart. The spice gives the flowers a dry, almost dusty edge, while jasmine adds a soft lift. It creates a feeling of walking through a sunlit market where wood piles sit near open spice stalls.
Cedar and tonka bean form the foundation. The wood is dry and clean, but the amber and musk wrap it in a sweet, powdery blanket. It feels like a casual sweater that has absorbed the warmth of the sun, comfortable and close to the skin.
This is a friendly, easygoing scent that stays close and personal. The rum note gives it a playful twist, but the drydown becomes quite sweet and powdery. The tonka and amber eventually take over completely, which might feel a bit heavy for those who prefer a crisp finish.
