Cardamom and saffron arrive quickly in the heart, warm and slightly metallic, while frankincense lays down a dry, resinous layer that anchors the middle. The saffron here carries a leathery edge that prepares the nose for the base. Oud enters with a woody, slightly medicinal depth that dominates the drydown. Patchouli supports it with an earthy, damp soil character, and leatherwood adds a smoky, charred wood facet that feels dry rather than oily. The blend stays firmly in the spicy and woody registers, with amber providing a low, rounded warmth underneath. It is a dry composition overall, more resin than flower, and the synthetic elements are minimal enough that the spices read as raw materials rather than polished accents.
