Our take

Malbec Supremo holds back at first. The opening sprays a sharp, almost abrasive lime and pepper that bite the nose before the rest of the composition arrives. That initial sting can feel rushed, as if the fragrance wants to announce itself before it has decided what to say.

Cassis and lemon soon soften the edges, sitting atop a heart of patchouli and coffee that smells like dark wood polished by hand. Cinnamon and licorice add a dry heat that keeps the fruit from leaning sweet. The cedar runs through the middle, giving the blend a firm spine while the oak lends a faint, dusty dryness.

The scent stays present through a long evening without fading into the background. Its trail carries well enough to turn heads in a crowded room, carried by amber and benzoin that wrap the woods in a golden warmth. Musk and moss anchor the base, letting the spice linger on fabric and skin while the air around the wearer remains rich with resin.

Wear it when the sidewalk is wet and the streetlights reflect off dark coats, a scent that feels like a heavy wool scarf pulled tight against the cold air.
