Our take

Pegasus leads with an odd pairing: heliotrope's powdery almond sweetness right next to cumin, which brings a warm, slightly sweaty skin note most sweet florals avoid. Bergamot and pink pepper lighten the opening before bitter almond and lavender take over in the heart, cutting the sweetness with something sharper and greener. Jasmine sits quietly underneath, more texture than scent.

The base leans on vanilla, sandalwood, amber, cedar and musk, thickening the composition into a woody backbone that steers the almond away from marzipan and toward something drier. The drydown keeps unfolding for a good long while, the cedar and musk still readable long after the top notes have gone quiet. Sillage stays warm and contained around the wearer, noticed by whoever stands close but never loud enough to precede you into a room.

Pegasus wears best in cooler weather, better suited to fall and winter air than a summer afternoon. Anyone who likes almond and vanilla treated as spice rather than dessert will find plenty here, while people who want a simple woody scent may find the cumin too strange at first.
