Fragrance notes
Resins open the fragrance with a thick, sticky weight. Frankincense arrives soon after, dry and church-like, pulling the sweetness of the tonka bean into a darker space. Sandalwood sits low in the blend, smooth and pale against the sharper edges of cedar. The cedar brings a dry, pencil-shaving sharpness that keeps the heart from feeling too rounded.
Leather in the base feels worn and creased rather than new. Amber adds a golden, slightly powdery warmth that wraps around the smoke. That smoke is quiet and steady, more like the air in a room than a burning fire. The balsamic accord gives everything a slightly medicinal gloss. Animalic touches flicker underneath, never loud, but present enough to make the skin feel lived-in.
Vanilla hides inside the tonka, soft and almost dusty. Powdery notes drift through the drydown, settling on the wool of a coat or the collar of a shirt. Warm spicy accords hum beneath the resins, never sharp enough to sting. The entire composition feels heavy, resinous, and deeply textured, built from materials that lean into shadow and heat, sitting close to the body without asking for attention, leaving a trail of dry wood and old leather on the fabric it touches
