Allure Sensuelle belongs to dinners that start late and run long. Patchouli and pink pepper open the show, sharp and a little dusty, with peach and mandarin adding brightness to the first few minutes before the dust settles back in.
Two roses, Turkish and Bulgarian, sit at the center next to iris and jasmine, and dried fruits give the whole heart a raisiny, slightly boozy sweetness that keeps drifting toward something darker. By the base, vanilla, labdanum and amber take over and the composition shows real staying power, warm and dense long after the citrus is gone. The sillage leaves a trail, warm and spiced enough to be noticed by more than just the wearer. Iris adds a cool, powdery counterpoint to all that dried fruit and vanilla.
It works for winter and late fall far better than daytime, and it suits a wearer who wants an oriental rose that leans dusty and dry instead of candied. Vanilla lovers hoping for something lighter will find this too dense; the patchouli and labdanum never let up.
