Our take

Misia opens with a sharp, champagne-like fizz of aldehydes that barely registers before it dissolves into a sweet, almost syrupy litchi. This isn’t a shy entrance, but it’s over in a breath. The heart is where the perfume finds its footing: Turkish and Grasse roses, jammy and plush, threaded through with raspberry and peach that lean more cosmetic than edible. This is a lipstick rose, a vintage dressing table in full afternoon light. Then the base pulls everything into a cloud of violet and iris, all soft powder, orris butter, and a whisper of tonka’s warmth. The overall character is that of a velvet powder puff used once, then set aside in a silk-lined drawer.

It feels deliberately delicate, almost introspective. The powdery floral notes are beautifully naturalistic in the opening, but the fruit and benzoin give it a slightly synthetic candy-coating that keeps it out of pure niche territory. At a rating of 4.14, it earns strong affection, but the longevity falls short, and the sillage is barely a whisper after the first hour. This is a fragrance for someone who wears scent as a private ritual, not an announcement. It suits the woman who loves classic Chanel powder and wants a touch of fruit without sweetness. Skip it if you demand presence or projection. Wear it on a cool spring morning, or a mild autumn afternoon, when you want to smell like a memory of rose and violet, not like you are trying to be remembered.
