The flower brings a heavy, yellow petal tone that leans into the indolic side of the note, while the spice adds a cool, resinous bite that keeps the floral weight from becoming thick. Mastic sits nearby with a pine-like sharpness that reads more like a green stem than a sweet gum. This is not a bright or bubbly start. It feels composed and a bit serious, moving through the air with a distinct herbal edge that sets it apart from standard mall florals.
Water lily and oakmoss take over the middle. The lily provides a clean, slightly aquatic freshness that lifts the heavy opening, but the oakmoss pulls everything back down into a damp, earthy texture. Black pepper adds a rough, dry heat that prevents the florals from feeling soft. The combination creates a contrast between the wet green notes and the dry spicy ones. It smells like a garden after rain, where the soil is dark and the air still carries a chill. The mate and amber in the base reinforce this feeling with a bitter, warm foundation.
Cashmere wood and cypress round out the drydown with a smooth, polished forest floor vibe. The amber adds a subtle golden warmth without turning the blend into a gourmand. It can feel overwhelming and slightly medicinal to those who prefer clean, transparent scents.
