Rosetum opens with rose and bergamot brightened by strawberry, raspberry, rhubarb, and mimosa. The fruit is tart and crisp rather than sugary, and the citrus keeps the petals from leaning powdery. Mimosa adds a soft pollen touch that rounds the edges without dulling the freshness.
The middle introduces black pepper, cloves, and cinnamon alongside leather. The spices are warm and present, and the leather is smooth with a faintly resinous edge. This part shifts the scent away from a simple floral fruit and gives it a drier, more textured character.
Cedar, vetiver, oud, amyris, vanilla, civet, and myrrh form the foundation. The wood is dry and slightly smoky, while vanilla adds a thin ribbon of sweetness. Civet and myrrh bring an animalic, resinous weight that makes the base feel dense and slightly rough around the edges.
The composition feels busy, with many materials competing at once. The fruit, spice, leather, woods, resins, and animalic elements do not fully settle into a clear shape. The result is interesting but uneven, and the blend can feel cluttered rather than cohesive.
