Khaos
Fragrance notes
Character
Khaos opens with plum and bergamot, a bright and fruity start that coriander and cloves quickly steer toward the spicy side. The fruit does not dominate for long. Cardamom and immortelle enter early, adding a warm, slightly resinous texture that medlar and osmanthus soften with a gentle, rounded sweetness. Rose and neroli sit in the background, lending a faint floral lift without making the composition feel light. Geranium adds a green edge that keeps the heart from becoming too heavy.
The base is built around amber, oud, and benzoin, supported by leather, vanilla, musk, fir, vetiver, and cedar. The resinous woods and amber create a deep, lingering foundation that stays present for a long time once applied. The leather and fir add a dry, slightly smoky contrast to the vanilla and musk, which round out the blend rather than making it sugary. The scent remains near the body, noticeable to those close by but never expanding outward.
Composed by Flavius Calaj, this is a fragrance that fits dimly lit spaces and late gatherings where a warm, resinous trail feels appropriate. The amber and oud give it a serious, evening-leaning character that suits cooler nights and formal settings. It feels deliberate and composed, moving through its notes with steady progression rather than sudden shifts.
The one drawback is the density of the blend. With so many base notes competing at once, the individual details sometimes blur together. The leather, fir, and cedar do not always get room to speak clearly.
