Dilis Classic Collection No. 2
Fragrance notes
Character
Dilis Classic Collection No. 2 opens with a sharp bite of galbanum that cuts through the air immediately. This green edge sits beside a dark cassis that adds a slight fruitiness to the initial spray. The Bulgarian rose is present but it does not dominate the start. It acts as a bridge between the sharp opening and the heavier elements that follow. The transition feels quick as the scent moves away from the bright top notes and settles into a much deeper profile.
The heart reveals a heavy dose of honey that coats the floral bouquet. Ylang-ylang and tuberose provide a rich, creamy texture that feels dense on the skin. This sweetness is balanced by the powdery softness of iris and the fresh lift of lily-of-the-valley. Narcissus adds a slightly indolic quality that gives the composition a mature character. It is a complex mix where the honey tries to smooth over the more challenging floral aspects.
In the base, oakmoss and civetta create a distinct earthy foundation that defines this fragrance. The mossy accord brings a damp, forest-floor quality that anchors the sweet honey and florals above it. Vetiver and patchouli add to this dirty, woody ground, while a warm amber note lingers in the background. The musk here feels traditional and slightly heavy rather than clean or modern.
The scent feels appropriate for a walk through a wet garden where the soil is visible between paved stones and a heavy cardigan is pulled tight against a cool breeze.
