Oud Of The West
Fragrance notes
Character
Oud Of The West opens with a sharp pour of whiskey that smells like a glass set down on a wooden bar top. The alcohol note is warm and a little untamed, letting you know immediately that this is not a polished office scent. Rose enters soon after, but it does not soften the blend into something floral. Instead, the flower adds a dusty, powdery weight that pulls the drink note toward something heavier and more resinous.
The heart settles into a thick partnership between that rose and the spices that run through the accord list. Prince War keeps the floral side dry rather than sweet, so the whiskey never tips into a dessert drink. Oud and sandalwood anchor the base with a deep, woody foundation that feels carved from dark timber. The agarwood brings a smoky, animalic edge that sits comfortably beside the creamy sandalwood.
This is a fragrance for a dimly lit lounge where conversations happen in low voices and the air smells of polished wood and aged spirits. It carries a masculine lean in its current form, though the rose allows it to sit on the unisex shelf without apology. Amir Harb built a composition that feels rustic and confident, relying on heavy materials rather than bright transitions to make its point.
You are smelling a leather armchair that has absorbed decades of spilled bourbon and rose water.
