Standing Somewhere In The Shadow settles into the cool air as black pepper and cardamom prick the first breath, softened by a bright scatter of pink pepper that keeps the opening from feeling heavy.
Leather rises next, smooth and faintly worn, while cinnamon curls through the space like heat from a fresh pour of black tea. A sliver of dark chocolate deepens the air without turning it sugary, letting the heart feel composed and steady rather than indulgent.
Tobacco and vanilla begin to stretch across the room, joined by patchouli and benzoin that add a resinous weight to the wood. Cedar and sandalwood give the floor of the scent a dry grain, and oud hums underneath, earthy and quiet. Tonka bean rounds the edges so the spices never bite.
The steam from the cup keeps rising, the leather on your sleeve still warm, and the air keeps folding tobacco and vanilla into the grain of the cedar while the tea cools and the cinnamon lingers near the rim
