The rum is warm, almost syrupy, and the clove adds a prickly heat that cuts through the sweetness. As it settles, benzoin and styrax step in like twin shadows, resinous and slightly smoky, while jasmine weaves a pale floral thread through the darkness. The drydown is all soft vanilla musk with a whisper of patchouli that never turns dirty. This is the scent of a single candle burning down to its last flicker in a velvet-lined dressing room, intimate and deliberately close.
The overall character is sweet, powdery, and deeply warm, but with a latent booziness that keeps it from being mere comfort. It feels more mainstream than niche, though the resinous heart pushes a step toward the opulent. The trouble is its lasting power and projection.
