Kisspeptin
Fragrance notes
Character
Kisspeptin suits someone who likes a scent that feels dressed without being stiff. It works for a person walking through a city street when the air is cool enough to see breath, carrying a coat that still smells of the closet. The person wearing it is not trying to be loud, but the choice feels intentional.
Lavender opens the composition with a calm, herbal tone that sits beside a crisp apple brightness. Cinnamon adds a warm, dry heat that never becomes sharp. Cedar and iris give the heart a powdery, woody texture that feels smooth against the skin. Lily-of-the-valley offers a faint floral lift before the base takes over with creamy sandalwood, soft musk, vanilla, and a golden amber that feels balsamic and sweet.
The blend leans heavily into its musky and powdery accords, which can feel a bit flat after the initial spice fades. Composed by Shadi Samra and launched in 2022, this oriental fougere from Hormone Paris has a lovely warmth, but the apple and lavender disappear faster than the heavier base notes, leaving a dry, slightly one-dimensional trail that lacks the complexity promised by the opening.
