Our take

Ti Amo opens with a bright, almost citrusy slap of mandarin and bergamot, but do not be fooled into thinking this is a fresh start. Within minutes, the fruit is steamrolled by an avalanche of white florals, heliotrope, and a pineapple note that feels less like juice and more like a candied souvenir from a humid conservatory. The development is dense and deliberate, each layer adding weight until you land in a base that reads like a spice cabinet had an affair with a chocolate factory. Cacao, vanilla, tonka, ginger, pink pepper, cumin, saffron, patchouli, labdanum, carrot seeds, guaiac wood, vetiver, galbanum, orris, sandalwood, ambergris, cinnamon, all stuffed into one shimmering, powdery cocoon.

The overall character is a polished, expensive mess, like a velvet evening bag that has been dipped in honey and then rolled through an oriental bazaar. It feels both natural and synthetic in that peculiar Roja Dove way, where the raw materials are top tier but the blend leans toward a baroque, almost cloying sweetness that will test your tolerance for cumin’s sweaty edge. The longevity is solid, hanging on for six to eight hours, but the sillage is polite rather than loud, hovering close to the skin like a secret you are not sure you want to share.

This is a fragrance for someone who loves opulent, gourmand-floral hybrids and does not mind smelling a little edible, a little dusty, a little animalic all at once. Skip it if you prefer clean, minimal scents or if patchouli and cumin make you queasy. Wear it on a cool spring evening, or a fall night when you want to feel wrapped in something rich but not overwhelming. Ti Amo is not a crowd pleaser, but it knows exactly who it wants to court.
