Our take

The woodshed door stands open just enough for cold air to slip inside. Pine and vetiver rest near the floor, their scent dulled by the damp earth smell that clings to the beam. Beeswax sits on a shelf beside resins and amber, warming the sharper edges of patchouli. Frosted berries and dried apricot add a thin layer of fruit that never becomes sweet enough to feel like food. Rose and violet float above the heavier materials, softened by jasmine and geranium, which keep the flowers from forming a dense wall. The room holds still. You breathe in the mix of wood, wax, and faint fruit, and the air feels thick with cold air and dry matter.

As the resins and amber deepen, the beeswax shows its limitations. The wax creates a flat, slightly artificial coating that sits over the patchouli and vetiver instead of blending into them. Rose and violet lose their shape under that layer, and the frosted berries turn into a vague sweetness that has no clear fruit left to name. Jasmine and geranium fade into the background, leaving the accord to rely on the heavier base. The result feels one note too heavy, with the wax blocking the air that the pine and earthy notes try to push through. It is a dense corner of the room, pleasant to stand in, but the materials never quite find a way to move together.
