Wish Come True
Fragrance notes
Character
Wish Come True opens with a squirt of tangerine so bright it practically squeaks, but the ylang ylang and bergamot are already softening the edges, turning citrus into something more like candied peel tossed into a resinous brazier. The heart is where this fragrance earns its name: tuberose and jasmine don’t scream for attention, they stagger out of a cloud of incense and labdanum, all honeyed smoke and sticky amber. It feels like a velvet cushion left too close to a church candle.
The drydown is the star. Vanilla and ambergris melt into Mysore sandalwood and Laotian oud, but the oud stays polite, never tipping into barnyard theatrics. The musk wraps everything in a warm, animalic hum. The overall character is a gilded greenhouse after a thunderstorm: humid, floral, smoky, and a little sweaty from the musk. It feels lush and slightly synthetic in the opening (that tangerine has a candied tang), but the base turns plush and natural. Longevity sits around moderate, sillage modest a few inches of skin, which is the honest weakness here you will need to reapply or overspray to make an impression.
This is for someone who wants a sweet, balsamic floral that works better bundled in a scarf than bared on a beach. Skip it if you hate tuberose’s waxy heft or if you demand a fragrance that projects across a room. Wear it in fall or winter, on a crisp afternoon or a cozy evening. It leans daytime but sits well at night because the incense and oud keep it from feeling girlish. Would you really want a wish that shouted?
