Patchouli Rose
Fragrance notes
A tiled courtyard in the late afternoon holds still air and warm stone. Someone stands near a low wall where dried rose petals have fallen into the cracks. The scent rising from the skin is deep and resinous, built around rose and patchouli. Clove and saffron press in with a dry heat that keeps the flowers from feeling soft.
Oud and frankincense add a dark, carved-wood weight that sits beneath the petals. Vanilla and benzoin smooth the edges without making the air sweet. Labdanum and myrrh give the impression of old resin rubbed into timber. The musk and amber hold the spices close so the floral side never floats away.
This is not a bright or fresh garden. It feels enclosed and deliberate, like a room that has been sealed for years and opened for a single visitor. The powdery accord settles across the scene like fine dust on stone. Pink pepper and cardamom flicker briefly, then vanish into the heavier materials.
The courtyard remains quiet, the rose pressed into dark wood, the air thick with resin and warm spice.
