Our take

Alea 41 opens with a bright, slightly fizzy rush of peach and clementine, lifted by aldehydes that give the fruit a shimmering, almost sparkling edge. Black currant adds a dark, juicy depth beneath the citrus, preventing the start from feeling like a simple bowl of fruit. The heart quickly moves into a lush white floral blend where tuberose and orange blossom take center stage, creamy and thick, while rose and carnation provide a soft, powdery spice. This is not a light or airy composition. It feels dense and enveloping, with the sweetness of vanilla and marmalade creeping in early to wrap around the flowers. As it develops, sandalwood and guaiac wood ground the sugar with a dry, polished woodiness, and amber and tonka bean push the warmth further. Musk lingers underneath, adding a smooth, slightly fuzzy texture that ties the gourmand and floral elements together. The overall impression is rich, slightly old-fashioned, and unapologetically sweet.

The marmalade note gives it a sticky, candied quality that sets it apart from cleaner vanilla scents. It suits someone who enjoys bold orientals and does not mind a fragrance that wears its sugar prominently. Wear it on a cool evening when you want something warm, indulgent, and full of character.
