Our take

Mistress Tuberose opens with linden blossom, lily-of-the-valley, neroli and labdanum. The linden brings a soft, honeyed green tone that sits beside the fresh, slightly watery cut of lily-of-the-valley. Neroli adds a bright citrus edge, while labdanum introduces a resinous weight early on. This stage feels airy but already carries a warm undertone that prepares the listener for the heavier material waiting underneath.

The heart centers on tuberose, frankincense, benzoin, galbanum and styrax. Tuberose dominates with a thick, creamy white floral presence that feels dense and slightly indolic. Frankincense and styrax push a smoky resinous character into the flower, and benzoin smooths the resins with a sweet, balsamic touch. Galbanum cuts across the richness with a sharp green bite that keeps the floral mass from becoming too rounded.

The base combines vinyl, skin, leather, sandalwood, amber and Cambodian oud. Vinyl creates a cool, synthetic gloss over the natural materials, and leather adds a dry, textured animalic layer. Sandalwood and amber provide a warm, woody foundation, while Cambodian oud deepens the blend with a dark, earthy resin. The overall accord settles into a white floral profile wrapped in vinyl, amber and leather.
