Character
A heavy velvet curtain parts to reveal a dim lounge where smoke from burning resins hangs in the still air. Saffron threads its golden heat through the haze, lending a dry, almost metallic spark to the opening incense. Jasmine enters soon after, its petals crushed and dark rather than bright, weaving through the bitter green snap of artemisia. The flowers do not soften the room. They pull the shadows tighter. Beneath them, vanilla arrives with a dusty, powdered weight, anchored by sandalwood and the damp, hollow rot of oud. Haitian vetiver adds a cool earthiness that keeps the sweetness from becoming flat, while guaiac wood and tonka bean press a warm, amber thickness into the air. Musk lingers in the corners of the space, blurring the edges of the sharper woods. The room feels sealed off from the world outside, lit only by the low glow of embers and the scent that seems to rise from the floorboards themselves.
The air is thick with resinous smoke and aromatic herbs, the vanilla and amber wrapping around every wooden surface like a second skin.
