Our take

There's an immediate rush of dark berries when Jeanne opens, blackberry and pear layered with a bright dash of lemon before raspberry and rose take over in the heart. Raspberry adds a tartness that pulls the rose away from anything too classical, more berry patch than flower shop. Peony and freesia keep the florals light and airy, and the whole thing stays fruity and pink rather than green or sharp. Musk, sandalwood and amber close it out, softly, without much fanfare.

Staying power is moderate at best, fading to a soft warmth well before you'd expect a heavier floral to. The sillage sits right on the skin, private and quiet, the kind of scent only the wearer and anyone standing close will ever catch. Because the trail stays so close, it works well layered under a scarf or a coat sprayed lightly with something else, adding warmth without competing for attention. Sun-filled days flatter it most, and it clearly prefers daylight, staying thin and unassuming in low light. Anne Flipo built something delicate here, better suited to easy daytime wear than a formal evening out, gentle and unhurried.
