Character
Sunlight falls across a terrace table where a half-peeled bitter orange rests beside a glass of cold water. The air carries Italian tangerine and pink grapefruit in bright bursts that feel immediate and uncomplicated. This is a morning surface, clean and alert, with no heavy weight pressing down yet. The citrus moves quickly, leaving space for what follows rather than dominating the hour.
Ylang-ylang and champaca arrive with damask rose and frangipani, a dense floral heart that settles close around the skin. Ambrette adds a soft musk that blurs the edges of the petals. Frankincense and benzoin introduce a resinous warmth, while Haitian vetiver and patchouli ground the flowers with earth. Labdanum and sandalwood smooth the texture until the scent feels like warm fabric against the wrist. Vanilla rounds the resins without tipping them into sugar, and oud sits quietly in the background, adding a dark line that keeps the sweetness disciplined. The composition stays near the body as the resins build, never expanding outward to fill the surrounding air.
The resins continue to deepen as the morning goes on, the benzoin and labdanum weaving through sandalwood and vetiver in a steady, low presence that asks little from the person wearing it. Frangipani and rose linger in the background while the oud and patchouli hold the base in place, the vanilla softening every edge until the whole thing feels like a single, continuous warmth that simply continues to unfold
