This is not a fleeting sparkle, but the cardamom and rosemary in the heart arrive quickly, dusting the citrus with a dry, aromatic spice that leans comfortably into the soapy, powdery territory of orris root. The whole construction feels like an old-fashioned barbershop that has been hosed down with lemonade, pristine and a little clinical.
As it dries, the Virginia cedar and vetyver anchor everything into a clean, woody base, with a faint whisper of resin that never gets syrupy. The overall character is a starched white linen shirt, crisp and slightly stiff, but pressed so neatly that you believe in its polish.
