Grapefruit and Amalfi lemon open Homme Sport like a burst of cold water, sharp and citric with barely a pause before ginger and vetiver take over. Elemi resin gives the top a faint resinous edge, thickening the citrus a touch, while rosemary and lavender in the base bring a dry, herbal cleanliness, with little sweetness in sight. Sandalwood is there too, but only as a quiet backdrop to the green, aromatic core.
Staying power is average, present firmly enough for the gym bag or a commute, then easing off gradually without a lot of drama. Sillage forms a light, clean halo, felt mainly by whoever ends up right next to you at the gym or on a train.
Summer and spring are where this performs best, the citrus and herbal combination reading bright and clean rather than heavy, well suited to workouts, errands, or anywhere a scent needs to stay unobtrusive. Homme Sport skips richness and drama entirely, built instead around motion and cleanliness, citrus up front and green wood quietly underneath once the top notes burn off. It never tries to be more than that, and does not need to be.
