Character
Coffee hits first, bright and bitter against a strip of orange peel. Cardamom sits beside it, dry and green, keeping the opening from leaning fully into the cafe. Geranium steps in with a clean, leafy edge that cuts through the heat. Immortelle brings a warm, hay-like sweetness that feels more like dried grass in sunlight than like a flower. The heart is herbal and aromatic, a little rough around the edges, and it does not try to be polished.
Oud enters slowly, resinous and dark, anchored by sandalwood that feels smooth and rounded. Vanilla softens the wood without turning the blend sugary. The accord reads as warm spicy and sweet, but the citrus and herbal notes keep it from becoming heavy. Composed by Pierre-Constantin Guéros for UERMI in 2022, the fragrance feels unisex in the way it balances bitter coffee against resinous wood. It suits a quiet street after rain, coat collar turned up, breath visible in the air, hands wrapped around a cup that steams against cold glass.
