Incense and oud lead the opening, thick and resinous. The smoke feels dry rather than sooty, and the oud carries a faintly medicinal edge that keeps the start from feeling purely decorative. Sandalwood and amber follow, softening the sharper corners without removing the weight. The sandalwood is smooth and creamy, while the amber adds a rounded warmth that sits close to the resinous top notes. Saffron and rose close the structure. The saffron brings a metallic, slightly bitter spark that cuts through the heavier woods, and the rose is present but restrained, offering a powdery floral touch rather than a fresh bloom.
The accord list tells the rest of the story. Warm spicy and woody notes dominate the impression, supported by a balsamic depth and a leather tone that never takes over. The metallic facet from the saffron lingers through the drydown, which gives the blend a slightly industrial sharpness alongside the traditional materials.
