Black Rose
Fragrance notes
Character
Rose oil and Taif rose sit at the center of Black Rose, heavy and slightly cool against the skin. Cumin adds a rough, earthy edge that keeps the flowers from feeling polished. The blend feels intimate, staying near the body while the scent itself refuses to fade through a long evening.
Saffron threads through the petals, giving the mix a dry heat that sandalwood deepens further. Frankincense brings a clean, resinous lift that makes the air around the wearer feel quiet and contained. The overall impression is of standing in a dim room where the windows are open to a cold night.
Michael Boadi composed this Illuminum release for both women and men, and the balance leans toward someone who likes a floral that does not try to charm. It suits a heavy coat and a street that is wet with rain, where the air is sharp enough to make the warm spices feel necessary
