Our take

Blue Hole opens with a sharp, freshly squeezed lemon that feels more like a cold glass of lemonade than a citrus blast from a designer shelf. It is bright, immediate, and almost aggressively clean. Within minutes, the jasmine emerges but not as a heavy, indolic floral. Instead it is a pale, watery jasmine that floats alongside the lemon like steam rising off a summer sidewalk after a rain shower. The patchouli in the base is the quiet anchor here, a slightly woody and barely warm spice that prevents the whole composition from evaporating into nothing.

The overall character is that of a man who dries his hands on a linen towel after washing them in a mountain spring. It is fresh, aromatic, and thoroughly mainstream in the best possible way. The longevity is a genuine frustration, barely three hours before it becomes a skin scent, and the sillage is polite to the point of invisibility. Many will find themselves reapplying halfway through the afternoon. Spring and summer are its natural habitat, and it performs best under direct sunlight when the heat coaxes out the subtle interplay between lemon and jasmine.

This is for the guy who wants to smell clean without smelling like he tried, someone who likes his fragrances simple and functional. Skip it if you crave depth, projection, or any kind of lasting presence, because Blue Hole is a pleasant breeze, not a storm. Where to wear it? A daytime date, a casual office, a walk through the park. Is there anything wrong with a fragrance that knows its limits and stays within them? Not really, but you will need to carry a decant.
