Our take

Choseo is too sharp for anyone who wants a soft, rounded daily wear. The opening hits with lime and mandarin orange that feel bright but also aggressively acidic, and the green leaves note pushes that edge further into something that can read thin rather than lush. Once the heart arrives, lily-of-the-valley and spearmint try to cool the surface, but the geranium keeps the profile angular. This is not a gentle floral. It is a crisp, herbal green that stays upright and slightly stern from the first spray through the later stages. The base does not round it out the way many expect. Pine and galbanum reinforce the resinous, needle-like character, while palisander rosewood and musk add a dry woodiness that never turns creamy. If you usually reach for warm ambers or sweet vanillas, this will feel bare and unforgiving.

The argument for wearing it anyway is simple. First, that very sharpness makes it an excellent choice for hot days when heavier compositions feel suffocating. Second, the conifer and aromatic accords give it a forest-floor clarity that stands out among crowded citrus releases. It suits someone who values precision over comfort and wants a scent that smells like cool air and crushed stems. It will not work for those who need a fragrance to feel inviting or romantic. The limitation remains the same at the end. Choseo stays deliberately austere, and that uncompromising bite is exactly why it will impress some and alienate others.
