Our take

Ferrari’s Red Power Ice 3 arrives like a cold splash of mineral water on a July afternoon, all bracing citrus and sharp coriander before the grapefruit and cassis take a sour, green turn. The opening is crisp and synthetic in the best way, channeling a freshly unwrapped bar of aquatic soap rather than anything from nature. Within minutes, the watery notes and cardamom rush in to soften the edges, turning the composition into something almost plush, though the powder from iris and white musk quickly dries it out again. The base is a pale, clean amber that clings like a ghost, never quite settling into skin but hovering just above it, polite and distant.

This is a fragrance built for the hottest, most humid days of summer, when anything heavier would suffocate. It lasts barely three hours on skin, and its projection is a whisper, so reapplying every couple of hours is part of the deal. That rating of 4.26 from over a hundred voters surprises me, but I suspect it’s because this scent does one thing well, it vanishes before it can offend. It feels like a cold cube of ice melting on a car dashboard, temporary and unbothered.

If you need a cheap, cheerful pick-me-up for the gym, the beach, or a quick errand in July, this works. But if you want something with depth, longevity, or any romantic intent, skip it entirely. It is a splash, not a story.
