Sweetly Known opens with a punch of cardamom that feels almost medicinal, a sharp green spice cutting through the air before the real show begins. Within minutes, the caramel and burnt sugar emerge, not cloying but dense and almost smoky, like the bottom of a saucepan left a moment too long on the stove. The cacao pod keeps things dry and bitter, while vanilla and musk soften the edges into something powdery and warm, a dusty comfort that lingers well into the dry down. This is not a gourmand you wear to a casual brunch. It feels heavy, brooding, and entirely synthetic in the best way, like a niche interpretation of a dessert rather than the dessert itself.
