Our take

Trevert opens with fir and tarragon, a cool evergreen edge softened by an herbal lift. The fir feels resinous rather than sharp, and the tarragon brings a gentle anise hint that keeps the start from leaning too dark. Together they create a fresh, aromatic entrance that stays grounded in the woods rather than floating upward.

As the scent develops, tuberose and clary sage take over. The tuberose is creamy and present but held in check by the sage, which adds a dry, slightly fuzzy texture. This heart feels green and white at once, with the floral side never overwhelming the aromatic base that came before. Grass and pine tree needles settle in underneath, giving the dry stage a crushed-leaf scent that stays close to the earth.

The blend feels natural and unforced, suited to bright mornings and warm air, when the green facets can breathe and the resin stays light. It works for anyone who likes forest materials without heavy musk or smoke. The one drawback is the tuberose. It dominates more than expected and can feel too lush against the lean pine and grass, making the composition tilt toward floral when the woods should lead.
