Our take

You open Wild Berries and the first thing that hits is a blackberry so ripe it’s practically splitting at the seam, tangled with a sharp, almost sour black currant that keeps it from tipping into jam. The raspberry and cassis in the heart double down on the tartness, but they’re softened by a whisper of something warm and slightly powdery — white musk and a thin woody base that never really commits. The whole affair is a picnic basket left in the sun too long: sweet, sticky, and starting to turn. It smells natural enough, like real fruit rather than candy, but the performance is a problem. With longevity barely scraping a 3 and sillage even lower, this is a fragrance that evaporates before you’ve finished deciding if you like it. That 3.60 rating feels generous given how fleeting it is.

This is a spring-through-summer spritz, best on a cool morning when you want a quick burst of berry before an afternoon shift to something sturdier. It’s unapologetically feminine, soft and girlish, the kind of scent you’d wear to brunch with friends or a lazy stroll through a farmer’s market. But if you need a fragrance to last through a workday or command attention in a room, skip it. White musk and woody notes are supposed to anchor the fruit, but they barely register — the whole thing feels like a single, lovely chord that fades before the song begins. Who is this for? Someone who values a perfect ten-minute impression over a four-hour story.
