Our take

Bergamot hits first, a bright citrus snap that feels like the first breath of morning in an empty studio. Then the varnish accord emerges, and this is where Zero reveals its true character. It is not shy about its industrial heart. Rose oxide cuts through the metallic lacquer with a synthetic green edge, while Haitian vetiver adds a dry, almost smoky rootiness underneath. The whole thing smells like a carpenter who just finished sanding a cedar chest and then accidentally brushed against a rosebush on the walk home.

The dry down softens into cashmeran and musk, a powdery warmth that clings to the skin like dust motes in sunlight. Cedar holds the structure steady, but never fully sheds that workshop feel. This is a woody floral musk, but the florals are more of a suggestion than a statement. The fragrance reads as intentionally synthetic, yet oddly natural in its rawness. It is niche through and through, uninterested in being liked.

Performance is the Achilles heel. With a longevity of three out of five and sillage barely over two, this is an intimate scent. You will smell it on yourself, but others need to lean in. It suits the person who values character over projection, someone who wants to smell like a memory of fresh sawdust and faded blossoms. Spring days, lazy summer mornings, a quiet afternoon in the city. Skip it if you demand arm’s length presence or a sugary payoff. Zero does not beg for attention. It simply exists, and that is enough.
