The heart is a weird pivot: champaca flower, thick and slightly fermenting, marries another dose of pepper that keeps the floral from going soft. It’s not a garden, it’s a riot of broken stems and sweat. The base brings vetiver’s rooty grit, cedar’s pencil shavings, and a musk that feels animalic but restrained, like a body that just refused to shower after a fight.
This is a woody spicy oddity, one hundred percent niche and proud of it. The sweetness here is just the saffron’s fleeting sugar, quickly smothered by earth and a faint metallic coolness. It feels synthetic in the best way: a chemical tang that reminds you this isn’t trying to smell like anything pleasant. The sillage sits close, just over a whisper, and longevity hovers around moderate. That’s its honest weakness: you’ll need to reapply if you want it to shout. But maybe that’s the point.
