Zara reworks a familiar woody-spicy template with a few unexpected turns. The opening is bright and peppery, with pink pepper adding a crisp, slightly effervescent edge to the first few minutes. It does not bite. Instead, the spice feels airy, like a window thrown open in a room that has been closed up for days.
Guaiac wood quickly steps forward, lending a dry, resinous texture that keeps the scent from leaning sweet. There is a faint smokiness here, though it stays close to the skin and never overwhelms the cleaner musky notes underneath. The musk and amber in the base soften the sharper edges without turning the blend into a heavy oriental. For a mass-market release, it manages to smell reasonably polished.
