Our take

Jasmin et Cigarette does what its name promises: jasmine and tobacco sit right on top of each other from the start, floral sweetness rubbing up against a dry, leafy tobacco note without either one winning outright. Hay adds a golden, slightly sweet undertone underneath both, warm and a little dusty, like a barn in late summer. There's a faint fruity sweetness threaded through the whole thing too, softening the tobacco's dry edge without masking it. A soft muskiness rounds things out at the very end, understated and clean, never competing with the tobacco for attention.

Longevity is moderate, a steady presence that settles in without demanding much notice. Sillage stays modest, jasmine and tobacco mingling close to the wearer and rarely projecting far past that. It comes into its own in spring, when the green, herbal edge feels most alive, and it suits both daytime wear and a relaxed evening equally well. There's nothing polished or corporate about how this wears, which is clearly the point given the name on the bottle. Jasmin et Cigarette earns its odd name honestly, an unusual pairing that stays true to both halves of the idea rather than picking a side.
