DKNY Be Delicious is a daytime fragrance through and through, built around green apple rather than anything floral-heavy. Staying power holds for a fair stretch without ever feeling long-term, and the sillage forms a modest bubble, noticed mainly by whoever is nearby. Cucumber and grapefruit open it crisp, green apple and lily-of-the-valley push the fruit further, and tuberose and rose stay in the background, without taking over. Woodsy notes, sandalwood and amber give the base just enough weight to keep the whole thing from smelling like candy, though the fruit never really steps back for long.
It is strictly a warm-weather fragrance, worn to class, to work, to a casual weekend, not one built for nighttime wear. Fresh, aquatic and green describe it well, and there is little here for someone wanting warmth or spice, or anything close to a heavier oriental style.
The green apple accord is really the star of the whole thing, sharp and a little sour, carried by fresh, ozonic air. Violet shows up only briefly in the middle, a soft counterpoint before the fruit takes back over.
