Our take

The Icon Attitude opens with a classic fougere snap of lavender and geranium, crisp and barbershop clean, but within minutes a sweet, almost jammy pear and mandarin bubble up from the heart, nudged by pink pepper’s gentle tingle. The base settles into a powdery caramel musk with a plank of sandalwood that keeps things from tipping into full dessert territory. Think of a freshly pressed white linen shirt left to dry in a spring orchard the caramel is a stray drop of honey on the collar, not a drenching. This is decidedly mainstream, well blended but synthetic in a pleasant, approachable way like a designer counter’s middle shelf, not a niche boutique’s hidden gem. The sillage is a whisper, barely two feet, and longevity hovers around three hours before it becomes a skin scent, which is frankly disappointing for the price point. It suits the guy who wants a gentle, sweet fougere for office hours or a brunch date, something inoffensive that says put together without shouting. Skip it if you crave projection, darkness, or anything that lasts past lunch. Wear it on a mild spring day, preferably under a jacket where its soft bloom can linger unnoticed, a quiet companion rather than a statement. Is that enough for a fragrance called The Icon? Not really, but it’s a perfectly pleasant, forgettable hug.
