Our take

Pink grapefruit and green notes open Omnia Amethyste on a cold, bitter-green flash, sharp enough to catch attention before it gives way to iris almost immediately. Alberto Morillas built the 2006 fragrance around that iris and Bulgarian rose pairing, and it carries the whole composition: powdery, cool, threaded with violet and almond so the powder never turns flat or one-note. Heliotrope and woodsy notes settle underneath, soft and faintly sweet, less a flower and more the memory of one, like violet-scented soap left in a drawer of folded linen for a season.

How long it lasts is unremarkable, present but easy to underestimate, and what sillage there is stays intimate, quiet enough to feel private. That modest scale suits a desk or a spring afternoon better than a big night out, and the season data agrees: warmer months carry it best, thinning once the air turns properly cold.

The iris brings a dry, mineral edge to the powder, worn down to something like scented stone dust by the drydown, with the almond keeping a faint sweetness underneath it. Almost nothing floral survives that far in, just soft powder and clean skin, built quietly enough that noticing it at all becomes the whole point of wearing it.
