Nuda
Fragrance notes
Character
Nuda opens with the kind of jasmine that wakes up the room before you do. It is not the dewy, innocent jasmine of a garden at dawn, but something sun-blasted and slightly feral, as if the flower has been left out too long and learned to like it. Alessandro Gualtieri takes white floral and pushes it past pretty into a humid, animalic shimmer. There is a salty, almost fermented edge here that keeps the sweetness from turning cloying, though the longevity of 3.70 and sillage of 3.58 tell you this is not a bomb. It sits close, a secret that occasionally escapes.
The overall character feels like pressing your nose into a silk pillowcase that someone else slept on, the faint ghost of skin and perfume still tangled in the fibers. It is undeniably niche in its refusal to apologize for being strange, yet the synthetic backbone is evident; this is not a natural jasmine absolute, but a distorted, amplified version, all sharp facets and no soft petals. It wears best in spring and summer, when the heat can coax out that animalic warmth, and favors daytime more than night, though the 86% night vote suggests it works for intimate evenings too.
Who should wear it? Someone who wants floral without compromise, who does not need to be liked by everyone in the elevator. Skip it if you want a clean jasmine soliflore or anything that whispers. Nuda does not whisper. It mutters, and that is its quiet magic.
