Phloria opens with a bright, almost effervescent bergamot that quickly softens into the creamiest gardenia I’ve encountered in recent memory. The jasmine here is polite, not indolic, while the solar notes add a subtle heat that makes the white florals feel like they’re basking in actual sunlight rather than just pretending. There’s an aldehydic shimmer at the edges, giving it a vintage-clean undercurrent, but the core is lactonic and lush, like a gardenia blossom floating in a glass of cold milk. On drydown, sandalwood threads through with a quiet woody warmth, but it never becomes heavy or resinous the whole affair stays airy, translucent, almost whispered.
This is a fragrance that exists in the space between a memory and a present moment. It feels natural enough to sit next to niche minimalists but wears its sweetness with a mainstream ease that could just as easily come from a high-end body lotion. That’s not a complaint. But the numbers don’t lie: longevity barely clears two hours, sillage is a shy shoulder tap at best. Phloria is a skin scent by nature, not by design.
Wear it on a humid summer morning when you want to smell like your own private patch of white flowers, not a billboard. Skip it if you need a scent to last through lunch or announce your arrival from across the room. This one blooms close, fades fast, and leaves you reaching for the atomizer again.
