Our take

Bergamot and litchi open things up, bright and a little juicy, before two kinds of rose settle in side by side, Bulgarian and Grasse, backed by violet and sweet pea. The pairing reads like a rose still wrapped in tissue paper at a flower stall, powdered and soft rather than sharp. Musk and cedar hold the base low and warm, giving the flowers something to rest on without pulling the whole composition into darker, woodier territory. Pear adds a faint juiciness at the very start and then steps back, letting the roses take over from there and carry the composition onward.

The trail is close and quiet, picked up by whoever is near enough to lean in, and it holds for a fair stretch of the day, neither brief nor especially long. Spring mornings and summer afternoons are its natural hours, better suited to office desks and garden lunches than a candlelit dinner. The rose keeps its powder soft enough to feel like a flower still on the stem, never hardening into a cosmetic-counter accord, and that restraint is what makes it work well as an everyday rose, easy enough for repeat wear without asking for a special occasion.
