Nocturnal Velvet
Fragrance notes
Character
Strawberry and pink pepper open Nocturnal Velvet with a bright, slightly sharp fruitiness that feels suited to a sunlit morning on a busy city street. The pepper adds a gentle lift to the strawberry, keeping the entrance from feeling heavy. Raspberry and plum arrive in the heart, deepening the fruit profile while gardenia and jasmine bring a creamy white floral layer that softens the edges. The musk in the base pulls the fruit closer to the skin, while ambroxan gives a clean, modern finish that does not push outward. Jérôme Epinette composed a fragrance that stays close through its fruit and floral phases, never expanding into a wide space.
The plum and raspberry can lean sweet, and the musk holds that sweetness near rather than letting it drift. Gardenia and jasmine are present but not loud, sitting quietly beneath the fruit instead of leading the blend. The strawberry note reads a bit synthetic at first, which may bother those who prefer a natural fruit impression. Nocturnal Velvet is a daytime companion that stays personal, but the opening fruit lacks nuance and the floral heart does not develop enough depth to balance the sugar.
