Our take

Plum and cedar open together, an odd pairing that works because the wood stays dry against the fruit's natural sweetness. Cinnamon and a trace of peach add warmth without much sugar, and by the time clove, ginger and rose show up in the heart, the fragrance reads as spiced wood first and floral second. Ylang-ylang and African orange flower add a waxy, honeyed edge underneath, though cedar never really leaves the picture.

Sandalwood, benzoin, musk and vanilla close things out gently, giving average staying power without much drama at any point. It forms a small halo close to the wearer, not reaching much further, which fits its character: warm, dry and a little introverted. Fall is clearly its strongest season, with winter close behind and spring a distant third; this reads better as an autumn desk-and-daylight scent than an evening one, since day and night scores land close but tilt toward the day.

Where it falls short is presence: this stays a fragrance you notice on yourself far more than anyone standing near you does, and the spiced-wood opening ends up more memorable than anything in the drydown. It rewards patience more than it rewards a crowd, a quiet, spiced wood that stays personal rather than becoming a statement.
