Our take

Rosemary and petitgrain set an aromatic, almost herbal tone from the first minute, sharpened further by pink pepper. Citrus lingers at the edges throughout, never a headline note but always present enough to add a light, playful spark to the composition. It stays fresh and green longer than most fragrances built this way manage, thanks to how little sweetness shows up anywhere in the formula.

The heart is where Lucas Sieuzac takes a risk: jasmine, neroli and ylang-ylang build a genuinely floral core, orris root giving it a powdery, slightly cosmetic edge rather than anything fruity or soft. It is unusual to find this much white floral in a fragrance built around rosemary and vetiver, and the combination gives the whole thing texture most aromatic fragrances lack.

Sandalwood, cedar, vetiver and patchouli hold the base down, earthy and dry, so the florals never drift toward something too sweet. On skin it wears with genuine staying power, and it carries far enough to register with whoever's standing near, a warm presence more than a broadcast. Spring is clearly where it performs best, though the balance between herb, flower and wood keeps it wearable well beyond that single season.
